Maybe when you’re searching for the place that’s right for you or your loved ones as they age, you should consider how a care facility came to be. The genesis of the place is where you’ll find its story, its intentions, its commitment to the individuals it serves.
Century Assisted Living was founded by two sons who knew they needed to find a place where their mom could be cared for as she was slipping into Alzheimer’s. She needed a place where she would be safe, where she could be as healthy as possible, and where people would get to know her, talk to her, respect her. Brothers Richard and Patrick Foglesong never found that place before their mom passed away, so they created one for other families who would be searching for such a place.
No one ever says, “I can’t wait to go live in an assisted-living facility.” But at some point, in the lives of many people, they need help. Choosing the right place is one of the most important decisions you’ll make for yourself, your spouse, your parent or another loved one – especially if you or your loved one needs the special care required for Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia.
The members of the Century Assisted Living family invite you to explore who we are, how we care for our family, and what makes us different from other facilities that weren’t created for such personal reasons.
