About Us

Our Philosophy

It is the philsophy of Century Assisted Living to provide quality care in a home-like setting to individuals seeking companionship, security and assistance with activities of daily living in an environment that promotes and enhances independence as long as possible.

Our goal is to insure family members that their loved ones' life will be full, rewarding and, above all else, safe. We provide an average staff to resident ratio of 1:6, which is two to three times better than other larger assisted living facilities. Century Assisted Living is State Licensed, a Member of State Associations, and a Member of Assisted Living Federations of America.  Century Assisted Living is an Alzheimer-Certified Assisted Living facility.

Our History

Century Assisted Living was founded by Richard and Patrick Foglesong in 1998 with the goal of providing senior adults with a warm & comfortable surrounding while offering the highest quality care.

Century Assisted Living is an Illinois state licensed Alzheimer's facility with services for residents who may have those needs due to any type of memory loss such as dementia or Alzheimer's.

The Foglesong’s found their inspiration for Century Assisted Living from their mother Patricia. "We want Century Assisted Living to be a place our mother would have been proud to live at. Before her passing in 1993, she was in need of assistance but our home town didn’t have an Assisted Living facility. Her only option was a nursing home. Though she needed help, she made it very clear that the nursing home was not an option for her. She felt like the nursing home was cold and impersonal, not to mention that she didn’t like the food. Ultimately, our family chose in-home care which eventually proved too difficult to manage and very expensive.

When we were presented with the opportunity to open an Assisted Living facility, we determined that we would design it with our mom in mind. We realize that there really is “no place like home,” but we know that Century Assisted Living and its compassionate and professional staff can bring your loved one a sense of home. With private rooms, home cooked meals and awesome staff, we are committed to making Century Assisted Living a place that your loved one truly can call home." ~ Patrick Foglesong
